Suez Ventures is a private venture capital firm which manages three funds, the Suez Technology Fund, STF II and STF III, comprising in excess of $100 million in committed capital. The investment objective is to provide exceptional financial returns to our investors by identifying and acquiring equity positions in attractive, early stage private growth companies operated by experienced and capable management teams.

The STF focus continues to be on evaluating technology-related businesses that have exciting growth prospects and are located in the western United States, primarily in Silicon Valley. Our initial investment in a company is almost always as part of the first institutional round of financing (including restarts) in which we can purchase a significant percentage of a company and become actively involved. We believe that successful venture investing begins with identifying fundamentally "good businesses" and then structuring an attractive investment that will maximize the probability of a company's ultimate success.

Suez Ventures seeks to provide more than development capital to the companies in its portfolio. The managers of the Fund act as advisors and business partners to entrepreneurs, and in most instances serve as directors of portfolio companies.

The managers have extensive experience in a range of technology fields including software, computers and computer-related areas, communications and medical technology. We are particularly well versed in exploiting vertical market opportunities and welcome the opportunity to assist in defining strategy and tactics. The managers also have significant financial experience including the preparation and positioning for an initial public offering or corporate acquisition.
